What happened to Aroms Farms? People asked me why I don't talk about the farm anymore. The struggle has been intensive in lots of other areas and there were many things to talk about.
Meanwhile, Aroms Farms has been restarted and it is going stronger and better than before. We have limited our scope for now because Nigeria is not ready for mass development of agriculture yet.
However, we have completed over 50 hectares of cassava farm to raise stems for next year mass production. These stems could plant 500 hectares next year.
We are planting hectares of pineapples . Raising goats for local consumption. We have started a fish farm and plan to raise over 50,000 catfish monthly. I am very excited about the fish production.
We are raising goats for meat and plan to raise over 10,000 goats yearly starting 2018.
We are working on some experiments especially, in the areas of increase cassava yield. We plan to develop a method to grow cassava in 7-8 months with 40 tonnes per hectare yield starting this dry season.
I would like to say thank you to all those who supported us during the struggle with the Fulani Herdsmen and Edo State Government.
There are still people looking forward to kill me in Edo state because of my farm so unfortunately, I am NOT going back soon. However, The farm is in capable hands of a respectable farm manager who is relentless, dedicated, trustworthy and capable. There are few good men there who ensure things are going fine. For the first time my presence is not needed at the farm. It has taken years to get to this level.
My commitment to develop Nigeria agriculture is very strong so I will keep going despite all the discouragement from Government.
We have also set up an agric Investment company dedicated to help Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora invest in agriculture in Nigeria.
