A new twist has emerged in regards to the reports making rounds online that a woman presumed to be a witch landed mysteriously from the sky in a police barracks in Sapele area of Delta state. According to a police officer, Ilechie Collins who broke the news, the woman confessed that she was coming from Benin city in Edo state before "fire brought her down from the sky".
According to journalist Sapele Olofofo, the woman lives with her husband and kids at Behind Praise Baptist Church (Oghenetega) precisely at No 14, Anegbe Lane, Off Abeke Road, Sapele, Delta State..
The woman is said to be an Itsekiri from Warri North Local Government Area, Delta State who has been battling with a mental problem for years. Her family has reportedly taken her to different medical institutions including churches, spiritual houses and native doctors of which all were abortive.
One of her sons said he said they only got information in the early hours of yesterday that their mother landed mysteriously into an apartment and that when she was been questioned how she got there. According to her, she said she was flying from Benin from the coven but fire fell on her feathers and she landed where she was seen.
The police were said to have taken her to the court owing to her statement and she was equally arraigned for being possessed by witchcraft.
In the cause of her arraignment, the children who were informed - stormed the court and told the presiding judge that their mother is not a witch that she is mentally challenged. The judge then requested that they present her medical report, but the children according to them - did not have it, because the only thing they did all these years was to take her to different local medical practitioners for solution because they had no money, so such document was never given to them.
The court was said to have adjoined her case to 27th of July, she was subsequently remanded in prison pending another hearing..
