Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose today inspected the 80% completed Oja Oba Market in the state capital, Ado Ekiti.
People could be seen chanting praises of the Governor as he arrived the construction site of the ultra modern market.
The Ekiti State government had in 2015 demolished of structures in Oja Oba market, which was set ablaze as a fallout of the crisis between drivers and Hausa people in the state.
Commissioner for Works, Mr. Kayode Osho, had said the demolition and excavation of the market premises would follow a construction of a modern shopping mall with all the necessary facilities.
The prospect of a bigger market now looks more of a reality as the structure is already near completion and has taken shape.
An indigene of Ado Ekiti revealed to KikioTolu about how pleased he was with the new project, stating that the market was surely going to boost the economy of the state.
