KATSINA – Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the APC National Chairman, has charged the people of Katsina State to ensure the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Aminu Bello Masari to consolidate on their achievements.
Oshiomhole made the plea at the state party’s gubernatorial campaign flag off held in Funtua at the weekend.
He said what the party want from them is “100 percent block votes” to ensure the re-election of President Buhari and Governor Masari to enable them to move the country and state to the next level.
“Masari deserves a second term. He has performed creditably well with the fear of God and honesty. He has invested heavily in the education, provided water and other social basic amenities,” Oshiomhole stressed.
On his part, Governor Aminu Bello Masari called on the party stakeholders and voters to support his 2019 ambition to enable him take the state to the next level.
“Despite the paucity of funds faced by the administration, government was able to fulfill most of the campaign promises made during the last electioneering campaigns in 2014,” he said.
Other promises, he said would also be fulfilled, as currently, they are either on the drawing board or in the pipeline for execution.
He said this can only be achieved if given another mandate to take the state to the next level.
Governor Masari therefore urged the electorate to re-elect the party by voting for the APC in the 2019 general elections to consolidate on its past record across the state.
Mustapha Inuwa, the Chairman, Masari Campaign Council, in his address, boasted that the party’s opponents only existed on bill boards and posters but nowhere to be found in the state.
Inuwa who is also the Secretary to the State Government, however, assured that the party would come out victorious in the upcoming election, as the committee would not relent in its effort to deliver the state to the party.
“Masari is the first ever governor to be produced by the Funtua Senatorial Zone and has performed beyond expectation hence the need for the electorate to reciprocate by re-electing him for the second term,” he said.
Shittu S. Shittu, the state party chairman, in his remarks, called on the electorate to vote the party in the state to continue to enjoy dividends of democracy.
